Bollywood actor Janhvi Kapoor always visits Tirumala Venkateswara Temple on special occasions, especially on her birthday. Janhvi has mentioned that her late mother, Sridevi, always took her to the Shri Balaji Temple on her birthday. Ever since her mother's passing away, Janhvi has religiously followed the tradition and walks barefoot.
On Thursday afternoon, Janhvi Kapoor walked barefoot along the sacred Alipiri Footpath before offering prayers at the shrine of Lord Venkateswara, also known as Lord Balaji. Several photos and videos of Janhvi Kapoor have gone viral.
In one of the videos, Janhvi Kapoor is seen wearing a floral white kurta, with her hair styled in a simple plait. She completed the look with white jhumkas. Janhvi climbed 3,550 steps barefoot to seek the blessings of Lord Venkateswara, which is roughly a 9–12 km trek and usually takes around 4–5 hours.
Another photo shows her in a pink saree as she visited the temple on a sunny morning. The saree belonged to her late mother, actor Sridevi.
Wishes poured in for Janhvi Kapoor as the actor turned 29 today.
Janhvi's sister and actress Khushi Kapoor called her the "best human being" while wishing her on her birthday through a heartfelt social media post.
Posting some rare photos of the sister duo, Khushi wrote on her official Instagram handle, "Happy birthday to my sister, my best friend, my advisor, my teacher and my partner in crime. Thank you for being the best human ever and helping in raising me to become the person that I am today. I'm nothing without you and I hope I'm stuck with you in every lifetime (red heart emoji). I love you (red heart emoji)."
One of the throwback photos shows little Janhvi and Khushi dancing together, while other pictures show them relaxing together in the presence of their pets. Another snap features Janhvi and Khushi twinning in matching tops as kids.
One of the photographs in the post also featured them with their late mother and legendary actress Sridevi.
Her Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari co-star Varun Dhawan also shared a birthday wish on his Instagram Stories. He wrote, "@janhvikapoor so happy to have u in my life though ur much older then me, I wish you only (hug and heart emojis) and peace and pay your taxes."
Actor Kriti Sanon also wished her well, writing, "Happy Birthday Janhvi... Wishing you a beautiful year ahead."
