For over a year, popular couple actor Hansika Motwani and her husband Sohael Khaturiya have been officially divorced. Yes, you heard that right! Hansika and her businessman husband, Sohael, parted ways after four years of marriage.

The couple was granted a divorce by a family court in Bandra, Mumbai. The divorce was with mutual consent. 

Hansika's lawyer, Adnan Shaikh, confirmed the development to NDTV and shared that the divorce was granted through mutual consent after both parties acknowledged that their marriage had irretrievably broken down.

According to a report by India Today, the plea submitted before the court stated that the couple had been facing regular disagreements, even over minor issues. Over time, these conflicts made it difficult for them to continue living together under the same roof.

The petition also noted that both families and close friends had attempted to help the couple reconcile and encouraged them to work on their relationship. However, those efforts did not succeed in resolving their differences. The reports suggest that the divorce was granted in the Bandra Family Court in Mumbai, and the matter was settled without alimony.

Those wondering about the reason behind the couple's separation say that Hansika and Sohael lived together for a short time and, over time, realised their differences in temperament, opinions, and lifestyle, which led to disagreements and arguments.

After that, the couple started living separately from around July 2024.

For the unversed, Hansika Motwani married Sohael Khaturiya, who was the ex-husband of her former close friend Rinky Bajaj. Hansika's marriage caused social media controversy, with accusations that Hansika caused the couple's divorce. Netizens alleged that Hansika "stole" her friend's husband.

With Hansika and Sohael getting divorced, netizens have called out Hansika, with many saying it karma that has hit back.

Sohael was previously married to Rinky Bajaj, whom he wed in 2016, and Hansika reportedly attended their wedding festivities. Hansika and Sohael later married on December 4, 2022, in Jaipur.
