It was a star-studded weekend for SRKians as Shah Rukh Khan spread his charm at the Joy Awards 2026 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Shah Rukh Khan enthralled the crowd with his dimpled smile, charismatic charm, and aura at the award night. Looking dapper in lavender, he greeted the crowd and also met many international stars.
Not just his fans in Riyadh, even international celebs were fangirling over SRK.
The Joy Awards ceremony also saw appearances by international stars such as Lee Jung-jae, Lee Byung-hun and Djimon Hounsou. Millie Bobby Brown accepted an honor at the event and thanked her parents during her speech for supporting her acting journey.
However, one moment that made social media gush was when Turkish actress Hande Erçel was caught on camera filming Shah Rukh Khan. In the clip, Hande Erçel pulls out her phone to record the superstar as he walks the red carpet and later appears on stage. She also took to her social media to share a series of videos and photos.
However, social media users and SRK's fans got into a heated argument on social media. Many were of the view that the Turkish actor wasn't recording SRK but her friend who shared the stage with him. It was another actress who was seen sharing a video of herself presenting on stage with SRK.

While Hande's Instagram posts show SRK a little blurred and out of frame, another actor was clearly visible in the video.
INTERNATIONAL SHAMELESSNESS#HandeErçel was recording her friend #AminaKhalil and even posted the videos on her Instagram. But #ShahRukhKhan fans started trending that she was recording SRK.

This isn't the first time Erçel's interest in Indian cinema has made headlines. During a previous visit to India, the Turkish actress openly expressed her desire to work in Bollywood, even mentioning that she would love to share the screen with leading Indian actors such as Aamir Khan and Hrithik Roshan.

Reflecting on his connection with the country, he said, "To know that people like my work here is very heartening, respectful and dignified. I love it. Everybody here is too warm, sweet and hospitable. I have shot a film here, so I love the locations here. The culture, the people and the food are lovely."
