Vidya Balan, Emraan Hashmi and Rajkummar Rao starrer "Hamari Adhuri Kahani" had a low first week at the domestic box office, but the film managed to earn the production cost in just seven days.

Mohit Suri's directorial film earned ₹27.12 crore in its first week from domestic box office run and ₹9.67 crore from overseas box office.

"#HamariAdhuriKahani Fri 5.04 cr, Sat 5.15 cr, Sun 6.30 cr, Mon 3.03 cr, Tue 2.95 cr, Wed 2.57 cr, Thu 2.08 cr. Total: ₹ 27.12 cr. India biz," box office analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted.

"#HamariAdhuriKahani Overseas total [Week 1]: $ 1.52 million [₹ 9.67 cr]," Adarsh added.

Despite negative reviews, the film managed to do well at the box office in its first week. The music and the lead actors' performances were the only saving grace due to which the film earned 27 crore in its initial week.

Nevertheless, "Hamari Adhuri Kahani" has earned the production cost and has become a profitable venture for the makers of the film. The budget of the film is ₹35 crore and after first week the profit amount stands at ₹4 crore, according to trade website Bollywood Hungama.
