Mods to Be Monitored

The modding community on GTA PC versions in the past has been one of the most active ones and many are waiting for the release of the PC version. However, Rockstar has said that it will be monitoring the mods being created by the community so that it does not have a "negative impact" on the multiplayer aspects of the game.

John Macpherson, in an exclusive interview to GameSpot said, "Since GTA Online has such a massive and vibrant community, our primary focus is making sure that nothing detracts from that experience or has a negative impact on the overall community of players."

Custom Video Editor

Macpherson also revealed that the company will be allowing players to create their own custom gameplay videos. So, Rockstar will have a video editor that will enable users to "capture and manipulate game footage at will." It will also have an advanced set of tools.

Players will now be able to "manipulate film speed, depth of field, different kinds of camera positioning and the various blends between them, filters, and more," he said. This editor will also allow them to add and edit multiple radio tracks in a single video. They can also "play and record their own scenes using any actor from GTA 5 including story and Heist crew characters."

As players play the story mode, there will be more character options that will be unlocked allowing them to add specific lines of dialog or contextual actions, and control over the time of day, "Wanted" status and weather and pedestrian density, Macpherson revealed.

Reports also suggested that Hayssam Keilany has been working to get the ICEnhancer mod tool to GTA 5, this tool allowed modders to increase the visual fidelity for the game.

Updates and DLCs to Roll out Simultaneously for All Platforms

Rockstar has assured players that it will be releasing updates and DLC simultaneously for all platforms – PC and consoles. Many players were anxious to know if the PC version of GTA 5 which will be rolling out shortly, will drag its feet when it came to updates and DLC when compared with console version.

But Rockstar was quick to clear any such doubts, with John Macpherson, lead gameplay designer saying, "There can be occasional variations in timing based on specifics from one console to another but PC will not be on a separate timetable to other platforms," GameSpot reported.

He also responded to the delay in PC version of GTA 5 release when compared with their console counterparts.

"We want each version of the game to be the best it can possibly be, and that means having the core members of the original GTA 5 team working closely with the best PC developers from across all Rockstar studios," he said.

"... A large portion of the team that worked on GTA 5 for PS3 and Xbox 360 also worked on the PS4 and Xbox One versions and all of the GTA Online content, including Heists."

"Since the new generation console versions and the PC version share similar architecture, the team also continued to work on the PC version. With each version adding features and requiring the focus of the same key people, that takes time," he added in the GameSpot interview.

Meanwhile, the company also said that currently it has no plans to bring in support for Virtual Reality, though it is an "exciting technology".

Exclusive Radio Station – The Lab

GTA 5 PC will be having an exclusive radio station titled The Lab. This is a new addition to the PC version and it will be hosted by The Alchemist and Oh No. The station will be having 14 songs, with three songs already out.

Reports revealed that a third track was revealed Tunde Adebimpe's "Speedline Miracle Masterpiece," featuring Sal P and Sinkane. Fans can listen to the track here.

Rockstar also have a new album called "Welcome to Los Santos" that will feature songs inspired by original scores in GTA 5. The album will be out on 21 April. It can be pre-ordered on iTunes.
