American actress Jennifer Lawrence was the belle of the ball when she turned up in a white gown at the 71st Golden Globes Award on Sunday. The dress soon became popular on social networking sites.
"American Hustle" star again chose a Dior gown for the award ceremony and jokingly told Ryan Seacrest, "I decided to shock them all."
The strapless dress from Dior's autumn/winter 2013 couture collection had a black band around her waist and thighs.
The white Christian Dior Haute Couture gown in addition to Lawrence's interesting stunt of photobombing her friend Taylor Swift turned into a subject of Internet memes.
Lawrence's stunt became one of the main highlights of the 2014 Golden Globes Awards which was held on Sunday at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California.
The actress had photobombed singer Swift when she was being interviewed by Ryan Seacrest at the red carpet.
"I was going to come in and push you down the stairs," Lawrence said.
But soon the dress and her photobombed moment was mocked and copied by several who turned it into internet memes. Internet users even compared the gown to the first dress of Ariel in "The Little Mermaid".
People took to Twitter and posted photos dressed as Lawrence. Some even posted the photos of their dogs and cats wearing the same gown.
