What buyers should know
Gold prices differ according to purity, with 24-carat gold representing a higher level of purity than 22-carat and 18-carat gold. Silver prices may also vary between cities and jewellery retailers.
Buyers should note that the quoted retail rates may not include Goods and Services Tax (GST), making charges or other applicable costs. The final price of gold jewellery will depend on the purity, weight and charges levied by the jeweller.
