George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin marriage continues to make it to the headlines. After a series of divorce, child adoption and pregnancy rumours, the actor and his UN lawyer wife are battling reports that suggest former model Cindy Crawford is playing the troublemaker in the couple's relationship.
In the last couple of weeks, there have been various reports that claim that George's wife is not very fond of her husband's BFF Cindy Crawford and is apparently not making any effort to become friends with the former model.
And now that Cindy Crawford, in a recent interview with Conan, has admitted that she had almost got into bed with George, fans wonder if Amal will call it quits.
"George is very well behaved now that he's married to the lovely Amal, but there was a time before he met Amal that he and Rande had gone out, and they did ask me if I wanted to come. It was a Sunday night and I stayed home with the kids," Cindy said.
"Sometimes if Rande goes out late he'll go into the guest room because the kids will end up falling to sleep with me in my room. So, I got up because I wanted to make sure he was home safe, and I went in the guest room and I see Rande face down on the bed. He still has his motorcycle boots on. And I'm like, 'Really?' So, I go over, I get on the bed and I'm like, 'Hey, babe.' And he looks, and it wasn't Rande. It was George. So, he was like, 'Oh, my God!' and I was like, 'Oh, my God!' And then I ran out," confessed the former supermodel.
It has been widely reported that despite efforts put in by Clooney and Gerber to bring their wives together, Cindy and Amal don't share a cordial relationship. "Cindy's been a good sport and has tried to win Amal over, but it's been an uphill battle. While Cindy has dealt with snooty Amal 'very graciously, both women are telling their men that they can forget about a feliz navidad south of the border," the source said.
And very recently, there was a buzz that the Human Rights lawyer had gone a step ahead and insulted the former supermodel by comparing her looks to that of Caitlyn Jenner. "Amal joked that Cindy could be Caitlyn Jenner's twin. Then she burst into giggles, but Cindy was stone-faced," a source had claimed.
Now, after the whole Cindy Crawford's confession in her recent interview, it looks like George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin marriage could get in trouble. Will the UN lawyer call for a divorce? Well, only time will tell.
