Nani's "Gentleman" has concluded the first weekend with decent collection at the worldwide box office and has smashed the 3-day business record of his last release "Krishna Gadi Veera Prema Gaadha" (KVPG).

Amid huge hype and expectations, "Gentleman" was released in over 700 cinema halls across the globe on June 17. The movie had good advance booking on its opening day and registered superb occupancy everywhere. The film collected Rs 5.50 crore gross at the worldwide box office on the first day and earned a share of Rs. 3.19 crore for its distributors. It became biggest opener for Nani.

The Mohan Krishna Indraganti-directed romantic thriller film got positive response and word of mouth helped it go from strength to strength on the following days. "Gentleman" is estimated to have collected approximately Rs 14+ crore at the worldwide box office in the first weekend. The movie has earned Rs 8.85 crore to Rs. 9 crore for its distributors in three days.

Nani's 2015 release "Bhale Bhale Magadivoi" collected Rs 14 crore gross (Rs 9 crore share) at the worldwide box office in its first weekend according to the reports. His last outing "Krishna Gadi Veera Prema Gaadha," which was released on Feb. 22, 2016, has collected Rs 10.86 crore gross (Rs. 6.16 crore share) at the worldwide box office in its opening weekend.

"Gentleman" has shattered the opening weekend record of "Krishna Gadi Veera Prema Gaadha." Its three-day business is equal to the collection of "Bhale Bhale Magadivoi." The trade analysts from the Telugu film industry describe its performance at the ticket counters as rock-solid business.
