Bollywood superstar Salman Khan's family brings home a Ganesha idol every year to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi for one-and-a-half days, and the festivities are attended by family members like Salim and Salma Khan, Helen, Arbaaz Khan, Malaika Arora Khan, Sohail Khan, Seema Khan, Atul and Alvira Agnihotri, Arpita Khan Sharma and Ayush Sharma, and industry friends.
In the past few years, Ganesh Chaturthi is not being celebrated at Salman Khan's Galaxy Apartments home in Bandra but either of his sisters' homes. Ganesh Chaturthi on Thursday, September 13, was celebrated at Salman Khan's sister Arpita Khan Sharma's Bandra home. It was Arpita who had begun the Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations in the Khan household in 2001.
The entire Khan family was present at the Ganesh puja except for Salman Khan. The superstar may make an appearance for the Ganesh Visarjan, just like last year when his rumoured girlfriend Iulia Vantur was present.
Katrina Kaif and her sister Isabelle Kaif also visited Arpita Khan Sharma's house for Ganesh Festival 2018. The ladies were spotted in traditional clothes, with Katrina seen in a bright red dress and Isabelle in a pink, heavily embroidered one.
This year at Ganesh Puja, Salman Khan was absent but the couple who stole the limelight was Arbaaz Khan and rumoured girlfriend Giorgia Andriani! The two were standing pretty close to each other, clad in ethnic attire, almost holding hands. Arbaaz Khan was wearing a pink Pathani suit while Giorgia was in a blue lehenga choli.
Arbaaz Khan's ex-wife Malaika Arora Khan was also spotted at the Ganesh Puja, wearing a green kurti and lehenga. Arbaaz and Malaika are recently divorced and this is probably the first time that Arbaaz's new girlfriend has made an appearance at a family function of the Khans so openly.
It remains to be seen whether Salman Khan, who is preparing for the premiere of reality show Bigg Boss 12 on Sunday, September 16, is able to attend the Ganesh Visarjan at Arpita Khan Sharma's home this year. All eyes will be curious to see whether he walks in with his rumoured girlfriend Iulia Vantur, since his ex-girlfirend and Bharat co-star Katrina Kaif has already made an appearance!
