Maisie Williams, who plays the role of Arya Stark in HBO's popular fantasy drama, has become a victim of internet hackers. According to reports, her topless photos have emerged online after a phone got hacked.
The images appeared to have been taken from a private social media account. One of the photos shows the 19-year-old Game of Thrones actress sitting cross-legged on a rock in only bikini bottoms. Another leaked picture shows her along with her friends getting undressed close to the ocean.
The reports came to light after Digital Spy reported that the photos, which emerged on several websites this weekend, the hackers might have taken the photos from her private Facebook page. The tabloid further said that the leaked photos were taken during her visit to Japan.
The actress was in Japan last week to fulfil her commitments as an ambassador for the Dolphin project. She visited Taiji, Japan, to campaign against the killing of dolphins across the country.
Meanwhile, Williams is not the first celebrity who became the victim of the hacking scandal. In 2014, nude photos of celebrities like Jennifer Lawrence, Amber Heard, Kate Upton, Kirsten Dunst and Kaley Cuoco were leaked online after their iCloud accounts were hacked.
Recently, a man hacked Kate Middleton's sister Pippa Middleton's iCloud account. The man claimed to have 3,000 private photos of her and the royal family. "Thank you very much for drawing this to the family's attention. I can confirm that not only have the lawyers been informed but the police are about to be involved as well," Pippa's spokesperson told the Sun.
