Four More Shots Please! 4 Review: Lust, lingerie and no laughs; fans call it Goa tourism ad

Four More Shots Please! is back with its fourth season, promising the same sassy and sexy energy. However, the show, once known for its bold and messy charm, seems to have lost its spark. The four main characters, who earlier felt fun and full of life, are still chaotic and messy in their personal and professional lives, but now it feels repetitive rather than refreshing.

Season 4 jumps ahead by four years. Siddhi (Maanvi Gagroo) is all set to marry Mihir (Rajeev Siddhartha). However, she develops an infatuation with Ash (Kunal Roy Kapoor), Damini's brother, and even visualises intimate bedroom moments with him, adding confusion to her otherwise settled life.

Damini's journey feels weak this season. Damini (Sayani Gupta) is shown experimenting with podcasting, but her storyline doesn't develop meaningfully. Instead, her brother Ash ends up being the most interesting part of her narrative.

Anjana (Kirti Kulhari) falls for Dino Morea's character without much insight into her emotional or career journey. She is shown enjoying life, bike rides, romance and clubbing, which may remind viewers of college days, even though she is a single parent with responsibilities.

Umang (Bani J), the show's queer protagonist, finally confronts her emotions. The return of Samara (Lisa Ray) stirs unresolved feelings. The tension peaks when Umang has a panic attack before Samara's wedding, forcing her to finally face her emotional truth.

Social media reviews for Four More Shots Please! Season 4 has left the viewers unimpressed, with many saying the season fails to live up to expectations and are thankful to the makes that the series has ended.

A user wrote,  "Lmao how you out of jobs and going drinking every day??? Four More Shots Please continues to be the most unrealistic rich people show."

Another said, "When you stretch a rubber band too hard, it breaks. The makers of Four More Shots Please forgot this simple fact." 

Third one wrote, "Attached some episodes of Four More Shots Please at someone's insistence. It got me thinking about what the show means for different segments of India. India 1: This show is basically a fantasy about consequences being optional. Not freedom. Not empowerment. Optional consequences. That is the real luxury being depicted. India 2: viewers rarely reject the show outright. They edit it mentally, keeping what feels portable and discarding what feels reckless. India 3: viewers (if anyone watches) do not feel offended by the show. They feel invisible to it. Big difference."

Many were of the view that only exotic locations made it look bearable; some even opined that it looked like a Goa tourism ad.
