Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh while addressing the students and faculty at the Panjab University in Chandigarh said, "Attempts are being made to divide the Indian people on basis of religion, caste, language and culture".
He lamented "Atrocities against minorities and Dalits are increasing". Former PM went on saying that "If such issues remain unchecked, these tendencies can harm our democracy".
