After the grant unveiling of EcoSport in India, Ford's all new compact SUV made its debut in Nepal with a price tag of 28.50 lakh NPR (around ₹17.9 lakh).
The made-in-India EcoSport will be brought to Nepal as completely-built-units by Ford's Nepal partner GO Automobiles. The Nepal-specific EcoSport SUV is not much different from the Indian model .The car will be available in four trims -include Ambiente, Trend, Titanium and Titanium Plus and in seven colours - mars red, moondust silver, kinetic blue, sea grey, panther black, diamond white and chill, in Nepal. The vehicle is priced high in Nepal as it is imported. The car is available with three engines - 1-liter EcoBoost, 1.5-liter Ti-VCT petrol and the 1.5-liter TDCI diesel engine.
"EcoSport will change the share of segments in the market. It will not only challenge other SUVs but also taken on other segments like sedan and premium hatchbacks," Go Ford's director Akash Golcha as quoted by CarDekho.
