Ford EcoSport, the new compact SUV from the US auto Major, has turned out to be a game changer for the company, continuing to receive overwheming response from the people.

The SUV, which is just a few months old in the Indian auto market, has witnessed tremendous sales figures for the month of August, posing serious threat to its arch rival Renault Duster. According to reports, Ford India sold 5,372 units of EcoSport in August, while its rival Renault Duster could notch only 2,967 units, which is nearly half of EcoSport sales for the month.

Ford EcoSport became the best selling SUV for the second consecutive month with the demand for the vehicle in the sub-continent auto market continuing to rise. The vehicle received more than 30,000 bookings within the first 17 days of its launch in India on 26 June.
