Scarlett Johansson tops Forbes list of Highest Paid Actresses of 2018

If you are thinking who is the highest paid actress of 2018, Forbes just revealed the answer. The publication recently released a list of World's Highest Paid Actress list for 2018 to announce that Avengers: Infinity War actress Scarlett Johansson is the highest paid female star of the year.

Clearly, being an Avenger pays you big bucks! The Black Widow actress poses a 'Marvel'ous pretax earnings of $40.5 million between June 1, 2017 and June 1, 2018 helping her top the list.

Johansson was followed by Angelina Jolie. The mother of six, who is currently caught up in a custody battle with Brad Pitt, owns the second spot with an earning of $28 million owing to her upfront pay for Maleficent 2.

Pitt's first wife Jennifer Aniston completed the top 3 spot. The Friends alum found a spot just below Jolie by posing earnings of $19.5 million. Her major chunk of revenue is a result of endorsements such as Emirates airlines, Smartwater and Aveeno. Her earning is set to sky-rocket next year once her Apple TV series with Reese Witherspoon goes on floor.

Speaking of Witherspoon, the Big Little Lies star is placed on the fifth spot of the list. She posed a $16.5 million earning. Mother! star Jennifer Lawrence come before the Legally Blonde star with the earnings of $18 million. She owes her position to the earnings from X-Men: Dark Phoenix and her contract with Dior.

Others on the list include: Mila Kunis (No 6, $16 million), Julia Roberts (No 7, $13 million), Cate Blanchett (No 8, $12.5 million) and Melissa McCarthy (No 9, $12 million). Wonder Woman actress Gal Gadot finds a spot on the top 10 for the first time with $10 million earning.

Meanwhile, Indians would be disappointed to know that none of the Bollywood-turned-Hollywood actresses made the cut this year. While Deepika Padukone featured on the list back in 2016 thanks to her earnings from xXx: Xander Cage, she hasn't signed or featured in a Hollywood venture ever since.

As for Priyanka Chopra, she only featured in one movie from June 2017 to June 2018. She played a supporting role in the movie A Kid like Jake. She was busy wrapping up Quantico, which helped her earn a spot Forbes' World's highest-paid TV actresses 2017 list.
