Earlier in the week, Lenovo-owned Moto confirmed that it would launch the new metal-clad smartphone Moto M in India on December 13. Now, Flipkart has hinted that the device might be made available on its e-commerce portal.
Flipkart on Thursday night released a teaser, which reads—"It's Metallic. It's Marvelous. And it could be yours very soon. Coming soon on Flipkart! #SomethingMagnificent." This apparently has made many believe that the Moto M will be exclusively sold on Flipkart and not Amazon as previously thought.
Rumours had indicated that Moto M will be sold on Amazon India, as the company had chosen the US-based e-commerce site for the recently launched Moto Z series. That being said, Moto, for years has been associated with Flipkart. For Moto (formerly known as Motorola), Moto G (1st Gen) was the comeback phone for the company's second innings in early 2014 and it sold exclusively on Flipkart, which proved to be a really successful partnership.
Even the Moto E3 Power, which was launched in October 2016, made a rocking debut on Flipkart with record 100,000 units getting sold out within 24 hours and was touted as the highest single device sale on the first day in Flipkart's history.
By launching Moto M on Flipkart, Moto expects similar response from the public. It is expected to priced around Rs. 20,000 in India.
