The Flash team is yet to confirm who Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) will be fighting in Season 5 full time but looks like the secret is out.

Word has it that the makers are on the lookout for a twenty-something to play the role of Peter Merkel a.k.a Rag Doll, Comicbook.com reported. Created by Gardner Fox in 1942, Merkel was born with a condition triplejointedness that lets him bend in ways that are humanly impossible. Basically, he's the god of all contortionists.

Is he the mainstay here or a series regular nemesis, just how the Trickster used to be? That's a story for another time, but if used in the right way, Rag Doll could prove enough to shut down team Flash. Cicada, King Shark and Grodd have reportedly been included in the script as antagonists.

In other news, Allen and Iris West (Candice Patton) have other tasks to do in Season 5 – dealing with the timeline that was unwittingly altered by their future daughter Nora West (Jessica Parker Kennedy) when she travelled to present time to save her father.

Usually, family reunions are fun and extremely emotional. But, Nora will appear distant from her mother, Patton said. Talking to the portal, the actress further elaborated that she'll be faced with some "coldness" from her daughter. Wonder why that is?

"And I think that, as we hinted in the finale last season, that's kind of met with some coldness from Nora. Which we'll get into later in the season, why there's some distance in between the two of them. But it's been really interesting to play this dynamic of Iris really wanting to enjoy this time with her daughter and figuring out why Nora's kind of not into that," she added.

Meanwhile, there's been an accidental plot reveal by Patton. She had posted a story on Instagram from the sets, which had a picture of Vibe that read that he was dead. The actress had to take it down after the news went viral on social media.

The Flash Season 5 is scheduled to air on October 9.
