A policeman was killed in a shooting inside the Karkardooma Court complex in Delhi on Wednesday, and two people were injured. 

The firing took place inside Court room number 73 as Head Constable Ram Kumar was bringing under-trial  Chenu Phelwan for a hearing.

Four people, said to be the relatives of the under-trial, opened fire in the court, hitting Kumar thrice, The Hindu reported. The constable, from third battalion of the Delhi Armed Police, succumbed to his injuries. 

A court clerk was among those injured.  

Some reports said that all the four attackers were detained following the shooting, while others said that at least two had fled from the scene.
