Fiat India has rolled out its new facelift Linea in the domestic market with a price starting ₹6.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The car, which made its first appearance at the recently concluded Delhi Auto Expo, comes in both petrol and diesel options. The petrol model packs 114PS 1.4 liter turbochaged T-jet engine under the hood, and the diesel model comes with 1.3-litre Multijet diesel motor, which can churn out a power of 93PS and a torque of 209 NM. Both engines are mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. The vehicle will be available in the sub-continent market in three trims - Active, Dynamic and Emotion.
Boasting a redesigned front grille, the new facelift Linea comes with new fog lamps and a new front bumper.The base model Linea Active petrol accommodates features like keyless entry, air-con, windows, central and remote locking, music system with CD player, and a chrome exhaust tip. It is priced at ₹6.99 lakh.
Linea Dynamic, the middle variant of the car, comes with a slew of features like dual-stage front airbags, 15-inch alloy wheels, automatic climate control, leather-wrapped steering wheel, steering-mounted audio controls, reverse parking sensors and a gear knob, in addition to the features offered in the Active variant of the Linea Facelift.
The top variant - Linea Emotion - comes with additional features like 16-inch alloy wheels and leather upholstery.
Fiat India is also expected to launch the 2014 Punto facelift in the country. The car, which has been spied testing for sometime, is speculated to come with 1.3 liter Multijet diesel engine, which can churn out a power of 75bhp and a torque of 197Nm. Meanwhile, the Abarth 500 and the Punto-based Avventura are also on the cards for India.
The bookings for the new Facelift Linea have started already.
