"Ek Villain" continues to have blockbuster run at the box office. The action thriller will now beat the lifetime total of "Gunday" to take the fourth spot at the 2014 box office chart.

Within six days of its release "Ek Villain" has earned ₹72 crore, which is quite good enough considering the lead cast. It features Sidharth Malhotra and Shraddha Kapoor, who are just two-three films old, in the lead roles.

"Ek Villain" also features Riteish Deshmukh as an important character. His negative role as Rakesh in the film has garnered rave reviews which is boosting the income of the film at the box office.

Despite starring budding actors, the film has managed to hit the bull's eye at the domestic box office.

With Thursday's figure coming in, the film will become the fourth highest grosser of 2014 beating "Gunday"s ₹78 crore total.

Going by the trend, the film will take its first week total to more than ₹78 crore and hit the ₹100 crore mark at domestic box office by its second weekend.

"Ek Villain" will finish its first week run in 3 July on a fantastic note. But in week two the action thriller will face competition from two films - Vidya Balan's "Bobby Jasoos" and Armaan Jain's "Lekar Hum Deewana Dil."

But it's likely that "Ek Villain" collection will get affected massively as the film still holds a strong word of mouth.

Meanwhile, Malhotra is basking in the success of two back-to-back hit films. The actor has been receiving compliments for his performance in the film.

Earlier, Bollywood superstar Salman Khan gifted him a designer watch after watching the film. And now bouquets and compliments have been sent to him, but the actor is apparently not receiving them as they are been mistakenly delivered at South Indian actor Siddharth's residence.
