Looks like the young star of Malayalam cinema, Dulquer Salamaan, has turned out to be the most-sought-after actor in the Malayalam industry. As per the reports from the industry, the young star is packed up with back-to-back projects till 2016 and the buzz is that the actor has signed a film with cinematographer-turned-director Rajeev Ravi.

Though there are no official confirmations regarding this, industry rumours suggest the news to be true. Reports are also that the scripting of this upcoming movie will be done by actor-film maker P Balachandran, who had previously scripted films including "Ivan Megharoopan", "Police", "Mansam", "Agni Devan", "Thacholi Varghese Chekavar", "Pavithram", "Ulladakkam" and "Uncle Bun".

For Rajeev Ravi, who is also a National Award-winning cinematographer, the upcoming Dulquer starrer will be his third film as a director. His previous films were "Annayum Rasoolum" (2013) starring Fahadh Faasil and "Najan Steve Lopez" (2014) starring Farhaan Faasil. Rajeev is known in the industry for his neo-realistic approach and has also tapped the versatility of his actors.

Meanwhile, Dulquer is currently busy in Mumbai with the shooting of his bilingual film with Mani Ratnam, which is titled as "Ok Kanmani". Nithya Menen, who was his co-star in films including "Usthad Hotel" and "100 Days of Love", will lead opposite to him in this film as well. The film, which is touted as an urban love story, is at the final schedule of shooting.

"Ok Kanmani", which will be made in Malayalam and Tamil also has Prakash Raj and Kaniha in pivotal roles. The music of this film is composed by AR Rahman while his son Ameen will be crooning a song for the film.

It will also mark the return of cinematographer, PC Sreeram, for a Mani Ratnam movie. The last film, which they did together, was the popular film, "Alaipayuthe", in 2002.

Soon after the shooting of "OK Kanmani', Dulquer and Nithya will go ahead to finish their schedule with the Malayalam film, "100 Days of Love", directed by Jenuse Mohamed, son of veteran director Kamal.
