Sonakshi Sinha, Salman Khan
Did Salman Khan really make Sonakshi Sinha cry?Sonakshi Sinha/ Instagram

Sonakshi Sinha, who seems to be in a mood to bulldoze every negative comment coming her way of late, lashed out at a leading daily rubbishing rumours of Salman Khan making her cry at Arpita Khan's wedding reception.

"It all began when Sonakshi went up to Salman and clicked a selfie with him. While she quickly uploaded the picture on Instagram to tell the janata that all was well between Salman and her (she titled it: Somethings Never Change), little did she know that she will soon be sobbing in a corner," stated a Mumbai Mirror report.

But, the "Tevar" actress tweeted condemning the piece. "And the award for best fiction goes to vickey lalwani from mumbai mirror. U have to read the rubbish he has written today," she posted.

However, the article also reported that Ashwini Yardi, who happens to be a close friend of both the stars in question, asked the two to dance. "Yardi asked Sonakshi to stop crying. And then, she took the two of them aside and told them that they should dance together," added the source.

With the leading daily quoting 'reliable' sources and Sinha denying it upfront, how much truth does the episode hold? Did Salman really make his "Dabangg" co-star shed tears? While that remains to be answered, there are ample reasons for the gossip mongers to believe that the pretty actress did breakdown.

A few months ago, it was reported that Sinha has managed to irk Salman's brother Arbaaz Khan by rejecting his directorial venture "Dolly ki Doli", which later was offered to Sonam Kapoor. However, the actress later confirmed on social media that she continues to share a good rapport with the Khans.

There were also conjectures that Salman wished to work with a different co-star and so the decision to cast Sinha as the female lead in Sooraj Barjatya's "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo" was reportedly re-considered. However, going by the stars' happy selfie from the reception, the chances of the talked-about rift seems bleak.
