Director Surender Reddy's Telugu movie Dhruva, starring Ram Charan, Arvind Swamy and Rakul Preet Singh, has received positive reviews from the audience.

Dhruva is an action thriller movie and it is an official remake of hit Tamil film Thani Oruvan, which deals with the story of a police officer, who is hell-bent on arresting a rich and sly criminal. Surender Reddy has made some changes in his adaptation to suit the taste of the local audience.
The audience say Dhruva deals with routine story, but the intelligent screenplay makes it an interesting watch. The movie starts on a slow note, but the narration turns intense and fast-paced towards the interval. The second half of the film has a fast-paced narration and it is high on action quotient. The climax is good.
Ram Charan has a delivered good performance and he impresses the viewers with his macho looks and dare-devil stunts. Arvind Swamy has played the negative role that he essayed in the original and he has done justice to it. His performance is one of the highlights of the film. Rakul Preet Singh has done a good job and her glamour and chemistry with Cherry are highlights. Navdeep, Nasser, Krishna Murali Posani and Sayaji Shinde are also big assets of the film, say the audience.
Allu Aravind, who has produced Dhruva under his banner Geetha Arts, has made sure that the movie has rich production values. Hiphop Tamizha's songs and background score, PS Vinod's picturisation, exotic locales, brilliant action scenes, Vema Reddy's punch dialogues, Nagendra's art direction, Naveen Nooli's editing and amazing dance choreography are the attractions on the technical front, say the audience.
