The much talked about film of the year "Dhoom 3" finally hit silver screens on Friday. Directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya, the film features Aamir Khan, Katrina Kaif, Abhishek Bachchan, Uday Chopra and Jackie Shroff in the important roles.

The much-awaited action thriller of the year has already received good reviews from Bollywood celebrities and even audiences, who watched the film, have praised it.

"It is SPELLBINDING !! Yes .. just out of DHOOM 3 !! Still searching for the right words to describe it," Amitabh Bachchan tweeted.

"#Dhoom3 lives up to all the hype & more... Go Victor Go...," director Kabir Khan tweeted.

Take a look at the critics review here:

Mohar Basu of Koimoi.com said: "The raw high octane action sequence, the pitch perfect bike thrills and mostly a great writing which lacked in both the previous editions.

"Stretching at 3 Hours, the film is a little too long but at its advantage never boring. However, Aamir and Katrina's amateurish love track could have been avoided.

"Dhoom 3 is a definite must watch. Breathtakingly shot with gorgeous cinematography, this edition notches higher than its preceding films in terms of thrills and mostly in terms of soul. You wouldn't want to miss a defining moment in commercial films of Bollywood. There is all the action and gadgets, seamlessly beaded together but with a story that crackles!"

"Dhoom 3 was spectacular and majestic. Keeping a strong hold on the emotional prowess of its plot, the film sews in the slick action so awe strikingly. Don't go in expecting an Aamir Khan film because it isn't without flaws. But it gets right everything that is must for a commercial film, especially its ability to grasp on to the interest of audiences. Even cool thieves are vulnerable people and to be able to get that correct is what makes Dhoom 3 a winner."

Rohit Vats of IBNLive in his tweet review said: "The writers have taken care of the backstory. Normally Bollywood doesn't do so. Initial stunts are breathtaking. Aamir Khan can pull off daring stunt scenes. It's interesting. The goons say please to the cops. Uday Chopra tries his hands in comedy

"No matter where you live or what your name is, you can always break into a Punjabi song in Bollywood. Aamir Khan has taken the coolness quotient one step up. Joker banana serious kaam hai.

"One thing is for sure. #Dhoom3 is spectacular. It has a grand canvas. The film has a good pace so far. Will the director carry the momentum till the end? Uday Chopra shouldn't have any problem with the director as he gets ample screen time. Even #Dhoom3 faces the curse of the second half. The director needs to step up the gas now.

"The film is high on style. One of the better heist films in Bollywood. Stunt scenes are brilliantly executed. The cinematography of #Dhoom3 is impressive. Acharya proves his worth as the director of the project."

Piyasree Dasgupta of Firstpost said: "Abhishek Bachchan and his leather jacket continue to share the same number of expressions they did nine years ago, when the Dhoom franchise was launched. Uday Chopra hasn't possibly watched any of his own films still so is yet to retire. Aamir Khan's abdomen is not happy being his, it now wants to belong to Hrithik Roshan and hence tries to look like the latter's. Katrina Kaif's hotness remain unharmed, especially given that her face remains untouched by too many emotions.

"To watch Dhoom:3, you have to get rid of the expectations that are raised in most average human beings suffering from an illness called common sense. Once that is out of the way, Dhoom:3 is rather easy to appetise. It's easy to believe that Abhishekh Bachchan, who looks as fit and flexible as a pillow,  can do a somersault in mid-air, punch a man and get back to his seat on a bike.

"The Chicago Police now entrust them to find the thief. Now go and quietly pray that the Chicago Police never have the misfortune of watching Dhoom:3 which might lead the US to outlaw Indians altogether."

Vinod Talreja of Bollywoodlife.com said: "Dhoom:3 gave me the high that I was hoping for. Yes, Dhoom:3 works for me big time and here's why - very rarely do you come across Hindi films that marry form and content so beautifully. Dhoom:3 is ultra cool, but beneath the sheen there's substance too. Set in Chicago, the film is a visual delight. The film makes your jaw drop to your knees courtesy the sweeping impact it makes.

"It takes a while for the film's plot to reveal completely. Luckily Vijay Krishna Acharya who is the writer and director of the film has packed in ample suspense oops..big suspense to keep your interest latched to the film from the very beginning. Kudos to him on that. We know that Dhoomhas always been about the hardcore stunts and glamour, but this time around the makers have thankfully concentrated on story as well.

"If you liked Dhoom and Dhoom:2 then you would not want to miss Dhoom:3. Just stop whatever you are doing, grab a ticket and go watch this film. Just for the sake of suspense and stunts it has."
