SillyMonks has unleashed the trailer of "Deyyam Premalo Padindhi" (DPP), which makers claim is the first ever Indian HoRomedy (horror, romance, comedy) web series, to be made available on YouTube. The Hyderabad-based digital media and entertainment startup has revealed that "Deyyam Premalo Padindhi" will be the first among the six web series that the company announced recently.

This web series will make its debut on SillyTube from June 29. A sequence of 10 Telugu webisodes with English subtitles, each lasting 14 minutes, will be released on YouTube every Wednesday at 5 p.m. exclusively on SillyTube.

A special promotion episode will also be brought out every Monday. "We believe the story (DPP) is very compelling and deals with an unfamiliar love story that has a beautifully scripted horror-romance-comedy concoction," said Sanjay Reddy, the Managing Director of SillyMonks, in a statement.

He added that a unique touch has been added to every element in the film, including the characters, and the music — that introduces, for the first time, one Pallavi and three full Charnas. "There is a huge audience for web series and we want to take the first big leap," said Reddy. "We found unprecedented success in our earlier superhit first Telugu web series, 'Muddhapappu Aavakai' in collaboration with Pink Elephant Pictures that made a record breaking 13 million + views on YouTube."

An unexplored tale of love between a devil and a human, "Dayyam Premalo Padindi" is an unfamiliar genre on YouTube. "The success of this web series would surely open up many avenues for trend setter genre and talent," VC Sekhar, the Creative Head of SillyMonks, said.

The story and screenplay for "Deyyam Premalo Padindhi" has been written by director Chandrasekhar Velagapudi. It stars VJ artistes Karan, Dolly and Anusha. Music composer Jayasurya has composed the musical theme.
