Bollywood actor Deepika Padukone turned 40 on January 5, 2026. The actor is ringing in the new year as well as her birthday in New York with her husband, actor Ranveer Singh, and daughter, Dua.

Social media and celebrities took to their platforms to extend heartfelt wishes to Deepika. However, fan pages of the actor also released a video of Deepika celebrating her pre-birthday at a fan meet-and-greet event.

The actor celebrated her pre-birthday alongside fans ahead of the big day. The event, held on December 18, 2025, in Mumbai, brought together admirers from across India for an intimate gathering organised by Deepika herself. Several photos and videos from the celebration have surfaced online on her 40th birthday.

The gathering was themed 'A Day of Gratitude with Deepika Padukone', as seen on event materials and fan posts. Deepika was seen cutting a large chocolate cake while fans sang Aankhon Mein Teri from Om Shanti Om, creating a joyful atmosphere at the venue. Fans shared messages and visuals from the occasion, with one social media user posting, "Happy Birthday @deepikapadukone. Wishing you another amazing year. Deepika's outfit for the occasion, a plum-coloured sweater paired with matching pants, was also noted by many attendees.

Another video that has gone viral shows Deepika joyfully cheering for Ranveer Singh's film Dhurandhar. Ranveer is currently basking in the success of the film, which has crossed the Rs 1,200 crore mark at the global box office. A clip of Deepika speaking about Ranveer's film has been widely shared on social media.

On the eve of her birthday, January 4, 2025, Deepika met fans at an intimate meet-and-greet in Mumbai. During the interaction, she asked the audience if they had watched Dhurandhar. The question was met with a loud chorus of 'yes', leaving Deepika beaming with joy.

She could not stop smiling as she flipped her hair and broke into a celebratory cheer, openly reflecting her pride in her husband's massive success. When the host jokingly interrupted, saying he did not realise they would be discussing other films as well, Deepika quipped, "It's all in the family."

About the film

Dhurandhar is the first instalment of a two-part film series. It features Ranveer Singh as Hamza, an Indian spy who infiltrates Lyari's criminal and political underworld in Pakistan as part of an anti-terror covert operation. The second part will be released on 19 March 2026.
