Last week, Xiaomi teased about launching a new Red-hued phone. It was initially presumed that the company might be hinting at the Redmi 6 series, which is slated to make its official debut in India on September 5. It was also presumed that it would be launched in the crimson colour model, however, it is now officially confirmed that it is actually the new Redmi Note 5 Pro colour variant.

Xiaomi confirmed the news on Twitter that Redmi Note 5 Red Edition is now available on Mi.com in both versions—4GB RAM+64GB storage and 6GB RAM+128GB storage—for Rs 14,999 and Rs 16,999, respectively. They are available in limited stocks and will soon be made available on Flipkart as well.

The new Redmi Note 5 Pro looks exquisite in the red shade on the back and matching black accented bezel in the front-panel. This will definitely find traction among the youth.

Except for the new colour, everything else such as design language and internal hardware remains same as the original Redmi Note 5 Pro.

For those unaware, Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro sports a stunning 5.99-inch full HD+ (2160x1080p) FullView screen having 18:9 aspect ratio and boast high-grade metallic shell on the back. It not only brings stability to the structure but also exudes a premium feel when held in hand.
