A new set of images of Bajaj's highly-anticipated VS400 power cruiser has emerged online, giving us probably the best look yet at the model. The VS400, also known as the Pulsar VS400 or the Pulsar CS400, is slated for launch in India in November.

Bajaj has been testing the VS400 on the Indian roads for quite some time. The VS400, which made its first appearance at the Auto Expo 2014 as Pulsar CS400, has taken nearly two years to come to its final form.

Biking enthusiasts in the country have already seen many spy shots of the model and the latest one comes from BikeWale. What is interesting in the new spy shots of the VS400 is its exterior body shade. The VS400 is seen donned in red and black colour. Previous spy shots had shown the model in blue colour.

Bajaj is likely to introduce the VS400 as a new brand in India. With the VS400 power cruiser, the company hopes to get into a new category, which is currently dominated by Royal Enfield. While the VS400 remains more like its concept — the Pulsar CS400 — it does get new additions like twin instrument console — one on the handlebar as seen in other bikes and the other on the fuel tank — and wide tyres.

The bike is expected to come with safety feature such as ABS and slipper clutch. However, it is not yet known whether it will be offered as standard or optional. As far as the engine of the VS400 is concerned, it is expected to come with a 373.27cc liquid-cooled, 4-valve triple-spark, fuel-injected mill mated to six-speed transmission. There are rumours that the VS400 will come in two variants. While the base variant would develop 34bhp of power, the high-end version would be tuned to churn out 43bhp and 35Nm of torque.
