The flyers were presented with many options to choose from Air India, Jet Airways and Vistara besides low cost carriers like IndiGo, SpiceJet and GoAir.

Even IndiGo said it will launch new flights from December 29 to meet demand from the customers.

A robust demand during the peak season will also boost the aviation industry's profitability in the second half of fiscal year 2018, according to a rating agency Icra.
