'Chidiya Ghar' Actor Mendak Prasad aka Manish Vishwakarma Slips into Coma

Manish Vishwakarma aka Mendak Prasad of "Chidiya Ghar", who met with a serious bike accident, is now in coma.

On Sunday, the actor met with an accident while on his way to the shooting location near Aarey Colony at Film City, Goregaon. Manish was on his bike when a car hit him from behind. He suffered serious head injuries and was immediately rushed to KEM hospital.

The actor is now in coma and has been shifted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital.

Television actress and Manish's friend Shilpa Shinde said that he is in coma due to medical negligence.

"I heard from actor Trishikha Tripathi, who was present at the hospital, along with Manish's parents and two members of the production unit of Chidiya Ghar, that the doctors did a CT scan. One doctor said it was a case of brain haemorrhage while another doctor had a different diagnosis," Shilpa told Mumbai Mirror.

Dr Rajan Shah, who is currently treating Manish at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, told the leading daily that the actor suffered severe head injuries and is in coma.

"He (Manish) was unconscious when he was brought to the hospital and immediately put on the breathing machine. He has suffered a severe head injury and is in coma. It is too early to comment on his status, but I'm hopeful he'll get better," Shah said.
