Congress leader Ajay Singh's nephew was shot dead by naxals in Chhattisgarh's Bijapur district on Friday morning. Bijapur is a naxal-affected area.
Singh is the Member of Legislative Assembly of Karnataka's Jewargi constituency since May 2013.
In 2013, naxals had attacked a convoy of Congress leaders in Chhattisgarh's Jagdalpur district claiming the life of senior leader Mahendra Karma.
