Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho says that his side will not be "crying" after being eliminated from the Champions League, insisting that this season can still be a success for the Blues if they manage to win the Premier League title.

The Blues were knocked out of the Champions League on away goals (3-3 aggregate) after they allowed 10-man PSG to comeback twice from behind and record a 2-2 draw in the second leg of the round of 16 at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday.

However, Chelsea have already won the Capital One Cup this season, are right on course to win their first Premier League title since 2010.

And Mourinho believes that the Blues' can still have a "fantastic season" if they manage to win the Premier League and do the domestic double.

"It's not time to cry or time to laugh, it's time to analyse the situation - if we win the Premier League and the Capital One Cup, it's still a fantastic season," said the former Porto boss, according to ESPN.

Despite admitting that he is "disappointed" to see the Blues get prematurely knocked out of the Champions League, Mourinho says that his side will be looking to make a comeback in the next fixture rather than sit around feeling sorry for themselves.

"I'm disappointed but I try to be pragmatic. When the opponent is better than us, the first step is to be honest and say we didn't deserve to go through. We need to react - we have a Premier League to win and I've told that to the players."

Sports pundit Gary Neville described Chelsea's performance against PSG as "so, so, poor," saying that the Blues should be humiliated.

But Mourinho hit back by saying: "Humiliated? I didn't steal or go to jail. I lost a football match, I did my work the best I can. I have no words to describe what I feel, I just want to play on Sunday."

"I want to play tomorrow. In football you win and lose, you have good days and bad days. But I don't have fear or desire to not play. All we can do now is try to win the Premier League. That's what I said to the players: 'Don't cry and see you tomorrow at 1 o'clock."
