Director Rajesh M Selva's Telugu movie "Cheekati Rajyam" starring Kamal Haasan and Trisha Krishnan in the lead roles has got positive reviews from the audience.

French film "Sleepless Night" has been remade in Telugu as "Cheekati Raajyam" and Tamil as "Thoongavanam". While the Tamil flick hit the theatres on 10 November, the release of its Telugu version was delayed by a week due to unavailability of enough number of cinema halls.

"Cheekati Raajyam" revolves around a police detective (Kamal Haasan) from Narcotics Control Bureau, who has a connection with the criminal underground. He and his partner are caught stealing cocaine from a powerful drug lord (Prakash Raj), who kidnaps his son. How Diwakar saves himself and his son will form the crux of the story.

The audience, who have watched the movie, say "Cheekati Rajyam" has an interesting story and brilliant production values.
