The permanent price cut comes as a part of celebrating Poco India's successful milestone in India. The company said it sold 700,000 units of Poco F1 to date, which is an impressive feat considering it is not one of Xiaomi's budget smartphones. The premium spec-sheet with a mid-range price tag certainly strikes an unwavering appeal here.

"POCO Fans, the celebrations are on! We're marking the 700K user milestone with the permanent price of Rs 1000 off across all variants of #POCOF1!" Poco India wrote in its tweet announcing the price cut.

The Poco F1 with its discounted price tag is available on Mi.com, Flipkart and at offline Mi Home stores. In addition to the Rs 1,000 off, buyers can avail other offers on Flipkart such as no cost EMI, exchange offer and 10 percent off for Mastercard users on first payment online.

While this is certainly great news for new customers, those who've already bought the device can be excited about Android 9.0 Pie coming to the device soon. In fact, the company's head of product for Pocophone, Jay Mani confirmed that Poco F1 will receive Android Q.
