Popular indigenous smartphone maker Micromax launched a new pro-camera phone, dubbed Canvas Selfie, in India on Monday (8 December).
The new Micromax phone's USP is its camera. It houses 13.0-megapixel snappers on both sides, and both cameras boast Sony sensors. In its bid to sway beauty conscious women folk, Micromax Canvas Selfie comes pre-loaded with value added beauty tools - like eye enhancement, face slimming, skin smoothening, teeth whitening, remove oil and fade dark circles and make-up.
Other stipulated features include a 4.7-inch HD IPS screen, Android 4.4 KitKat OS, 1.7GHz MediaTek Tru Octa-core CPU, 2GB RAM and 16GB memory (expandable), reported The India Express.
The company has stated that the price and the availability details of the Canvas Selfie would be revealed later.
Competition
Once released, Micromax Canvas Selfie will be up against Alcatel OneTouch Selfie, Lava Iris Selfie 50, Asus Zenfone 5, Sony Xperia E3, Xiaomi Redmi 1S, Panasonic Eluga S, Motorola Moto G (both Gen 1 and Gen 2) and other similar devices.
