Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who is a regular at the Cannes Film Festival, walked the red carpet for the 15th time on May 13. The "Sarbjit" actress made a stunning appearance in studded champagne coloured gown with a cape at the premiere of "Slack Bay."

Aishwarya made several past appearances in Elie Saab's designs, for which she won several praises. However, for her 15th appearance, she opted for Lebanese fashion designer Ali Younes.

Aishwarya looked serene in an embellished gold tulle cape dress, clinched at the waist with a golden belt. The simple hairstyle with minimum jewellery and pinkish-nude lipstick did the trick, but the over the top blue eye make-up played spoil sport.

The "Sarbjit" actress has been attending the prestigious film festival since 2002 as the brand ambassador of cosmetic group L'Oreal Paris. But this year, apart from representing the brand, she will also be seen promoting her film "Sarbjit." The film, starring Aishwarya in the lead role, will be screened at the 69th Cannes Film Festival on Saturday.

Director Omung Kumar's "Sarbjit" is a biographical drama highlighting the struggle of Indian farmer Sarabjit Singh, who was convicted of terrorism by a Pakistani court, and how his sister Dalbir Kaur fought relentlessly for his return to the country. Aishwarya plays the role of Sarabjit's sister Dalbir, while Randeep Hooda is seen in the titular role.

Aishwarya-Randeep starrer "Sarbjit" is slated to release worldwide on May 20. However, at the UAE – GCC box office the film will be released on May 19.
