He was under significant stress because the couple 'were going through a divorce and he had a history of depression," the fake report stated, according to snopes.com.

However, the report is nothing but a Facebook scam. The post asks Facebook users for a certain app permission before allowing them to read the news, but the site is fake and it intends at stealing personal information of the users from their social media page.

The death hoax report shocked his fans, who took to social media to express sadness. However, they can heave a sigh of relief as the actor is alive and has been in the limelight ever since his wife Angelina Jolie filed for divorce from him.
