Varun Dhawan starrer "Main Tera Hero" is heading for the 50 crore mark at the domestic box office. The film has already collected ₹45.98 crore in 10 days and requires 5 crore more to reach the mark.

The romantic, comedy and action entertainer directed by David Dhawan collected ₹1.50 crore on second Friday, ₹2.25 crore on Saturday and ₹3.75 crore on Sunday, according to trade analyst Taran Adarsh.

"#MainTeraHero Week 1: ₹ 38.48 cr. Weekend 2: ₹ 7.50 cr. Grand total: ₹ 45.98 cr nett. Heading towards ₹ 50 cr mark. India biz. Excellent," he tweeted.

"Main Tera Hero" had performed well during the first week, but in second week the film is facing tough competition from "Bhoothnath Returns", Hollywood films and regional films.

However, the film managed to put a decent second weekend with ₹7.5 crore. The film will manage to rake in respectable amount on second Monday due to holiday. But the collections will go down after the start of Indian Premiere League matches and release of "2 States" the coming Friday.

"Queen" starring Kangana Ranaut is still running in Indian markets. "Queen" is the first film of 2014 that managed to enter the sixth week of its theatrical run in Indian markets.

Although, the collection declined drastically the film managed to rake in ₹60 crore nett total.

Meanwhile, the 3D animated musical adventure-comedy film "Rio 2" has started on a good note in India. In its opening weekend the film accumulated ₹4 crore.

The film has been released in 3D, 2D and in dubbed version in India. Sonakshi Sinha and Imran Khan have dubbed for the Hindi version of the film.
