Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar starrer romantic comedy has shown a consistent performance at the domestic box office.
The weekday earnings are in the same range as opening day collection. The romantic comedy produced by Yash Raj Films has earned ₹9.38 crore in six days from collection centres.
"#DumLagaKeHaisha Fri 1.12 cr, Sat 2.14 cr, Sun 2.86 cr, Mon 1.07 cr, Tue 1.11 cr, Wed 1.08 cr. Total: ₹ 9.38 cr. India biz. Super," trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted.
Despite limited screens and slow start, the film managed to hold a place at collection centres in India. The film was expected to take it lifetime total to ₹10 crore, but looking at the six days total the overall business will cross ₹15 crore.
Last year, Kanagana Ranaut's "Queen" had performed extremely well at the box office and that too just based on word of mouth. And this year, Ayushmann's "Dum Laga Ke Haisha" has performed because of the same reason.
Varun Dhawan's "Badlapur" has turned out to be a profitable venture for the producers as they have earned approximately ₹10 crore as profit.
After deducting the production cost of ₹25 crore and producers shares, the film has earned profit of around ₹9.81 crore, according to Bollywood Hungama.
"Badlapur" is the second most profitable movie of the year, after Akshay Kumar's "Baby".
