With each day Aamir Khan's "PK" is creating records at the worldwide box office. The film, featuring Anushka Sharma in female lead role, became the third highest grosser and after second Monday it re-positioned itself at no.2 spot.

"PK", which has been embroiled in controversies, has maintained a strong momentum at the box office even though it's running in second week.

After having a strong second weekend, the film minted ₹10.08 crore on Monday, according to Bollywood Hungama. The box office income of "PK" now stands at ₹246.66 crore, which is the second highest total ever.

"PK" has successfully dethroned Hrithik Roshan's "Krrish 3" from the second spot with its 11 days earnings. "PK" is now the second highest grosser, while "Krrish 3" has become third highest earner with ₹244.92 crore.

Aamir is now dominating the Bollywood's highest grosser list with two back-to-back films. The top position is secured by his last release "Dhoom 3", while at second it's "PK".

Aamir's 2009 release "3 Idiots" (₹202.47 crore) is also one of the highest grossers so far.

Meanwhile, the film has landed into controversies due to its alleged content. Several religious groups in India have demanded a ban on the film.

However, Boman Irani who plays a supporting role in "PK" said its a good thing that people are debating on the film, but they should respect makers viewpoint.

"Ofcourse people will (protest and create controversy)...everybody will do. But it is so nice because everybody is having discussion about it and anything worth a debate is a good film," Boman told IANS.

"Rajkumar Hirani films will always have something to think about. You agree or disagree with the film or you like or dislike a film, that's a different thing but his films will at least make you think," Boman said.

Meanwhile, the film is expected to continue its strong run at the box office despite the protests. Trade analysts are looking forward to the film creating a new ₹300 crore club at the domestic box office.

The film, which features Aamir as an alien, also stars Anushka Sharma, Sushant Singh Rajput and Sanjay Dutt. Ranbir Kapoor has done a cameo in "PK".
