Giving auto enthusiasts a glimpse of the much-awaited BMW G 310 R motorcycle, the company released a new teaser video of the model, showing the bike in action. The G 310 R, the company's small displacement motorcycle, has jointly been developed by Indo-German alliance BMW Motorrad and TVS Motor Company.

First premiered at EICMA 2015 in Milan, Italy, the G 310 R made its India debut at the Auto Expo 2016 in February. Powered by a 313cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine, which can churn out power of 33.5bhp at 9,500rpm and maximum torque of 28Nm at 7,500rpm, mated to a six-speed gearbox, the new motorcycle will be produced at the TVS Motor's facility in Tamil Nadu.

In terms of dimensions, it measures 1,988mm in length, 896mm in width, 1,227mm in height and has a wheelbase of 1,374mm. The BMW G 310 R employs a 300mm disc brake at the front, and 240mm at the rear. It features front upside down forks and monoshock suspension at the rear. To be offered in strato blue metallic, cosmic black and pearl white metallic shades, in India, the BMW G 310 R is expected to be priced at about Rs. 2.5 lakh.

The motorcycle is currently in its testing phase in the country and was caught on camera quite a few times while undergoing testing. Although the company is yet to announce the launch date of the model in India, rumours are rife that the BMW G 310 R would make it to the market by Diwali this year.
