"The Blacklist" is just a few days away from its premiere and there are some interesting spoilers coming in from showrunners and cast members of the show. According to the latest buzz, not only will Liz sport a new look in the upcoming season, but she will also find out Red's horrible truth, while Agent Ressler tries to pursue her.

It has been widely reported earlier that "The Blacklist" season 3 will pick from where the previous season left it. There are no gaps or time jumps, but Megan Boone, who plays Elizabeth Keen aka Liz, hinted that the show will have a new format.

In the season 2 finale, we saw that Liz murdered Attorney General Tom Connolly, putting her on FBI's Most Wanted list. And now Liz, along with Red, is on the run.

While the hunt is on for Liz and Red, producer Jon Bokenkamp revealed that Liz will be adopting a new look to keep her identity hidden. "What we hit on in the story is that by virtue of her being on the run and having to change her look, she ends up realising that she may look like her mother. It felt like a really nice, organic way to take the on-the-run story of two fugitives and yet tie it back into the mythology of who Liz is, who Red is, what their relationship is and to lean into the bigger question of identity," told Bokenkamp (via iDigital).

But in an interesting revelation, Bokenkamp also said, "Red is heartbroken that, despite everything he's tried to do in this season to protect her from this horrible truth, she has discovered it. This storyline opens and takes us into a new chapter where she is no longer just an FBI agent — they have a real journey that they're about to go on. They're entering the third season as fugitives."

But fans have been wondering if Liz and Ressler will be together? For that the website has quoted executive producer John Eisendrath, who said, "There won't be any sort of a romantic relationship between the two characters any time soon, as they want to focus on developing Ressler's character. In doing that, we'll put him in emotionally vulnerable places. By putting him in those positions, it will give Liz an opportunity to reach out to him and support him in a way that will deepen their relationship."

Watch how the story of Liz and Red continues when "The Blacklist" season 3 premieres on 1 October on NBC.
