Drake was on the top of the world on Sunday night after winning the top honours at the Billboard Music Awards 2017. The rapper took home 13 awards on Sunday night and made history for winning the most awards in a single year. The previous record holder was Adele, who won 12 awards in 2012.

Drake took home awards categories, including Top Artist, Top Male Artist, Top Billboard 200 Artist, Top Hot 100 Artist, Top Song Sales Artist, Top Streaming Songs Artist and Top Rap Artist. After winning 13 awards, Drake thanked his family and in his special mention, he thanked Nicki Minaj. "I got the love of my life up here," Drake, said pointing to Nicki.

The award show, which was held at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, honoured Cher with ICON award. She also performed on some of her greatest numbers on Sunday night.
