This Sunday night, Billboard Music Awards 2017 will honour the biggest hitmakers and best music released in the past year in a star-studded event. The music award show will not only honour the best of 2016 but also see celebrities performing live.

The Billboard Music Awards 2017 will be held live at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on the night of May 21. The award show will honour the artists from the music industry in several categories, including Top Artist, Top Female Artist, Top Male Artist, Top Billboard Album and the top artists and albums in different genres.

Drake and The Chainsmokers received the highest nominations, 22 nods each, while Beyonce received eight nominations.

Performances

Nicki Minaj will perform the opening act, which will last for 9-minutes. She will perform with Lil Wayne, David Guetta and Jason Derulo. Other performances are by celebrities including Camila Cabello, The Chainsmokers, Miley Cyrus, Celine Dion, Drake, Florida Georgia Line, Halsey, Sam Hunt, Imagine Dragons, John Legend, Lorde, Bruno Mars, Ed Sheeran and 2017 Billboard Music Awards ICON Award recipient, Cher.

Host

Chris Daughtry, Jessie James Decker, AJ Gibson, Jeannie Mai, Laura Marano and Sway Calloway will go live on Sunday night as hosts starting with the red carpet event.

Where to watch live

The Billboard Music Awards 2017 will kick start with celebrities walking down the red carpet flaunting their best styles. The red carpet event, which will begin at 6 pm ET, will be live streamed on the official Twitter page.

The main event will start at 8 pm ET and it will be aired live on ABC network. Fans can also follow the official Facebook and Twitter pages of Billboard Music Awards for live updates on photos and backstage information.
