Bigg Boss is back with its 19th season, and Salman Khan will once again take the host's chair. This season, titled "Gharwalon Ki Sarkaar" (The Housemates' Government), introduces a political twist. The housemates will be divided into two factions — the Ruling Party and the Opposition — and will compete in a political-style format.
Salman Khan began shooting for Bigg Boss 19 in Mumbai on Friday, August 22. The first look at the main stage has been unveiled, showing the superstar shooting on set in a sharp all-black outfit.
Inside the house, tasks will revolve around debates, governance-style decision-making, and satta badal (power shift) challenges.
Ever since the announcement, several celebrity names have been circulating on social media. Reports suggest that Gaurav Khanna, who rose to fame with Anupamaa, is among the highest-paid contestants this season. Other confirmed participants include Kunickaa Sadanand, Amaal Malik, Natalia Janoszek, Neelam Giri, Pranit More, Baseer Ali, Nehal Chudasama, and Abhishek Bajaj.
Adding to the buzz, there are also reports that politicians Atishi Marlena and Tej Pratap Yadav may join the show. Since the theme is rooted in politics (Raajneeti), a real-life politician's entry seems highly likely. On Friday, a VIP ambassador car with a red beacon was spotted entering the BB sets with heavy security, sparking speculation online.
"Lagta hai Tej Pratap Yadav aayega," wrote one user.
Another speculated, "Pakka Atishi Marlena hogi iss baar ghar mein."
Alongside actors, this season will feature a mix of influencers, singers, comedians, wildcards, and even special entries, with names like Mike Tyson and WWE legend The Undertaker expected in the coming months.
Meanwhile, the Fans Ka Faisla poll is open until August 21, 11:59 pm IST, where each user can cast up to 99 votes via the JioHotstar app.
Bigg Boss 19 will premiere on August 24, 2025, at 9:00 pm IST on JioHotstar and will also air at 10:30 pm IST on Colors TV.
