The Big Bang Theory actor Jim Parsons and his longtime partner Todd Spiewak has finally made their relationship legal. The duo got married on Saturday night at the Rainbow Room in New York.

At present, not much is known about the wedding. Interestingly, Parsons' The Big Bang Theory character Sheldon Cooper is also on the way to matrimony as Season 10 of the comedy ended with him popping the question to his longtime girlfriend Amy.

In November last year, Parsons gushed about his boyfriend via an Instagram post celebrating their 14th anniversary. "I met this guy (the one with the mic) 14 years ago today and it was the best thing that ever happened to me, no contest," Parsons, 44, captioned a throwback photograph of him and Spiewak from a karaoke session.

"One of his greatest gifts to me is that he no longer takes me to sing karaoke. Also, I believe this was a selfie with an actual camera, as our phones couldn't do that back then hahaha! #todd #anniversary," he added.

Spiewak, who graduated with a BFA in Graphic Design from Boston University in 1999, and Parsons got together in 2003, but they became public only 10 years later, sometime in 2013.

"I've never considered myself an activist," Parsons said while accepting the Inspiration Award by LGBT advocacy group GLESN in 2013. "I've never considered my relationship with Todd to be an act of activism. Rather simply, it's an act of love, coffee in the morning, going to work, washing the clothes, taking the dogs [out]—a regular life, boring love."

 Dinner. I ❤u, Todd!

A few years back, it was rumoured that Parsons was ready to pop the question, but the actor denied any marriage plans during his appearance on Ellen DeGeneres' talk show in 2014.

"I don't know. You get so used to your life as it is," Parsons explained to DeGeneres. "I'm not saying [Todd's] been discouraging it. I feel like I haven't been enthusiastic enough about it, and I feel like I am a 'loser' for the cause," he said.

 #sagawards with this guy! ❤️
