After the successful run of one of the most loved sitcoms,  Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain, starring Aasif Sheikh, Rohitashv Gour, Shubhangi Atre, Vidisha Srivastava, Ravi Kishan, Mukesh Tiwari and Dinesh Lal Yadav, the makers made a rather bold move by converting the famous comedy TV show into a full-fledged movie. However, it has backfired badly.

Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain: The Film clashes with Neena Gupta and Sanjay Mishra's Vadh 2. Much like its predecessor, Khichdi, the sitcom-turned-film falls flat with its senseless comedy and actors trying too hard to pull off punches and force laughs. The audiences cringe hard but fails to laugh.

The film, which is mostly an extension of the TV show, starts off with the introduction of Tiwari (Rohitashv Gour) and Vibhuti (Aasif Sheikh), who are once again fighting for the attention of their respective bhabhis, Anguri and Anita Mishra (Shubhangi Atre and Vidisha Srivastava).

While Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain on television makes Aasif Sheikh and Rohitashv Gour lovable and likeable despite all their goofiness, the film turns out to be a complete contradiction of that charm.

One day, in order to pray for her husband's bravery and strength, Anguri tells Tiwari to accompany her to a temple. That's when they cross paths with the deadly brothers Shanti Sharma and Kranti Sharma (Ravi Kishan and Mukesh Tiwari). Shanti and Kranti end up falling in love with Anguri and Anita, despite knowing that they are already married.

The chaos, confusion and mayhem that follow from the rest of the film.

Shubhangi Atre's famous one-liner, 'Sahi pakde hain', becomes irritating due to overuse, along with her vocab-flipping. Even veteran actors Ravi Kishan, Mukesh Tiwari and Dinesh Lal Yadav fail to save the film, as their performances eventually turn caricaturish. Even Aasif Sheikh and Rohitashv Gour, two of the finest actors, are unable to rescue the film.

The double-meaning jokes, the lousy and lacklustre screenplay that drags endlessly, and sequences that often go completely off-track only worsen the experience.

Director Shashank Bali's attempt to bring this sitcom to the silver screen doesn't achieve much. It neither makes anyone laugh nor has any element of humour that could turn into memes on social media.

Let's take a look at what netizens have to say.
