Lately, she has been slaying at various parties, letting her hair down, and several videos of her dancing with her husband, actor Gaurav Khanna, and other BB19 inmates have gone viral.
However, she has mostly been targeted for her dance moves. A few days back, it was reported that Gaurav and Akanksha might call it quits and head for divorce. Soon after, Akanksha shut down the rumours, saying all is well.

Now, once again, BB19 winner Gaurav Khanna's wife, actor Akanksha Chamola, is at the centre of online chatter. She has been making videos with Awez Darbar, and many of her reels have been considered below the belt, showing her clinging to Awez.
And now, Akanksha has embroiled in fresh controversy as clips from her promotional video for her upcoming project, Dil Dhokha Aur Desire, has sufaced on social media. In the video, she is seen dancing alongside co-stars Kunwar Amar and Ali Hasan.
The viral clip shows Akanksha first dancing with Amar, but Ali soon joins in, sharing a close dance moment with her. Amar then returns and hugs Akanksha from behind, while she keeps laughing throughout the interaction. In the clip, she is seen getting cosy and hugging him, while also drawing close to Awez. This dance sequence has gone viral online, with many netizens trolling it and drawing comparisons to a similar viral moment between AP Dhillon and Tara Sutaria.

Many even criticised Akanksha for crossing boundaries and getting intimate for no reason. One user compared her dance moves to Tara's, writing, "Earlier, Veer Pahariya's girlfriend was kissing someone else on stage, and then they broke up. And now Gaurav Khanna's wife is behaving in the same way."
Another commented on the clip, saying, "Chee!!! Gaurav Khanna's wife's clip was 100 times cheaper than Tara Sutaria's clip."
When a reporter asked Akanksha about intimacy in a respectful manner, she uploaded the clip and said, "Want to take a moment to appreciate this question and the way it was framed, that, as an actor, topics like intimacy can often feel vulnerable, but when asked appropriately, it allows for honest answers rather than hesitation. In her post, she emphasised that intimacy in cinema is "handled with care, consent, and responsibility," and thanked her co-stars and director for creating a safe space on set.
