As news of the arrest spread, hundreds of demonstrators gathered across several parts of Belfast. Many protesters, some with their faces covered, threw objects at police, torched vehicles and damaged properties. Videos from the scene showed flames engulfing multiple homes and cars while emergency services rushed to contain the chaos. Police officers were also seen helping residents escape from burning buildings.
Northern Ireland First Minister Michelle O'Neill strongly condemned the violence, calling the attacks "disgusting cowardice." British Prime Minister Keir Starmer also denounced the unrest, warning that those responsible for the disorder would face the full force of the law. Both leaders appealed for calm amid growing concerns over community tensions and public safety.
Meanwhile, the family of the stabbing victim urged people not to use the attack as an excuse to spread hatred or division. They called for restraint as authorities continue investigating both the stabbing and the subsequent riots. Additional police personnel have been deployed across Belfast and other parts of Northern Ireland to prevent further violence.

The incident has reignited debates around immigration, integration and public security in the UK, with officials warning against attempts by extremist groups to exploit the attack and fuel racial tensions. Authorities have stressed that the criminal investigation remains ongoing and urged the public to avoid spreading misinformation online.
